This tweet by Mark Young is a good reminder that we all were novices at training at one time in our lives. In fact, I find that the more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know (this is true for training, life, relationships, etc.). This time of year is when regular gym enthusiasts find that their facility is a little busier with all the “newbies” around. So if you find someone using “your” equipment (e.g., “I always use that treadmill at 5:00 PM!”), be understanding. Better yet, be charitable — smile, introduce yourself, and let them know that you would be happy to assist them if necessary.
