“Training for Obstacle Course Races”

This article by Pete McCall discusses how personal trainers and other fitness professionals can benefit from the recent boom in adventure obstacle course races. Pete discusses how fitness professionals can prepare their clients for participation in these events, while also promoting their fitness businesses/programs. He provides a glimpse into the physical demands posed by taking part in such a race and provides a sample workout. A person’s physical readiness should be seriously considered prior to registering for one of these events. Without possessing a requisite level of fitness, the risk of injury to a participant competing in such an event is increased.
