“Kettlebells Kick Butt”

This article is in regards to an American Council on Exercise (ACE) commissioned study conducted by researchers from the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The study examined the possible fitness benefits of exercising with kettlebells. This particular study found that the prescribed kettlebell workouts improved a number of fitness parameters including improvements in aerobic capacity and core strength . Having used kettlebells in the past and currently participating in a kettlebell-centric workout program (http://www.t-nation.com/workouts/10000-swing-kettlebell-workout), I can speak to the fitness benefits of training with kettlebells. Just keep in mind that a kettlebell is a tool and may not be the right tool for a particular goal.
