As a fitness professional, I know that people often judge a workout by how badly their “ass was kicked.” While you should train with intensity, that doesn’t mean that you have to pound yourself into the ground on a daily basis. Post-workout pain/soreness should not be the goal of a training session. It may be the outcome of a challenging workout, but it shouldn’t be the goal.
