“HEADS UP!”

Pavel Tsatsouline of StrongFirst shares his thoughts on the proper position of the head and neck during the performance of kettlebell swings and the deadlift. Pavel calls for a position of “mild extension” during kettlebell swings and cautions against hyperextension of the neck. He points out that the knees have to flex slightly during kettlebell swings or the neck will have to be hyperextended to allow the eyes to focus on the horizon.
