“Detraining Timeframes”

Coach Mike Young provides some timelines regarding fitness/performance drop-offs that you can expect to see when fitness training ceases or is markedly reduced. This points to the need for athletes or fitness trainees to be consistent in their training. While there is a time and place for breaks in the training year, there is a price to be paid for inconsistent training or long lapses in training.
