“The Core 4 Training Formula”

Fitness coach / educator Nick Tumminello defines the term “core” as it relates to fitness training and provides a comprehensive strategy for training it. At least so far as many in the general population are concerned, the core musculature is typically identified as the rectus abdominis muscle that creates the visual “washboard abs” effect if one’s body fat levels are low enough and possibly the obliques and the muscles of the lower back. Nick points out that this limited viewpoint does not match the original definition.
